【摘要】:Thechemicalcompositionofstainlesssteelsmustbedeterminedaccuratelyinordertoensurethedesiredmetallurgicalproperties.Thisprocedureissuitableformanufacturingcontrolandinspectiontesting.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesfortheopticalemissionvacuumspectrometricanalysisofstainlesssteelinsolidformbythepoint-to-planeexcitationtechniqueforthefollowingelementsintheconcentrationrangesshown:ElementConcentrationRange,%Chromium17.0to23.0Nickel7.5to13.0Molybdenum0.01to3.0Manganese0.01to2.0Silicon0.01to0.90Copper0.01to0.30Carbon0.005to0.25Phosphorus0.003to0.15Sulfur0.003to0.0651.2Thistestmethodisdesignedfortheroutineanalysisofchill-castdisksorinspectiontestingofstainlesssteelsamplesthathaveaflatsurfaceofatleast13mm(0.5in.)indiameter.Thesamplesmustbesufficientlymassivetopreventoverheatingduringthedischargeandofasimilarmetallurgicalconditionandcompositionasthereferencematerials.1.3AnalyticalcurvesareplottedusingtheconcentrationratiomethodasshowninPracticeE158.Oneormoreofthereferencematerialsmustcloselyapproximatethecompositionofthespecimen.Thetechniqueofanalyzingreferencematerialsalongwithunknownsandperformingtheindicatedmathematicalcorrectionsmayalsobeusedtocorrectforinterferenceeffectsandtocompensateforerrorsresultingfrominstrumentdrift.Avarietyofsuchsystemsarecommonlyused.Anyofthesethatwillachieveanalyticalaccuracyequivalenttothatreportedforthistestmethodareacceptable.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
